Digital Yacht GPS160 TriNav Sensor, NMEA 0183 Output

The Digital Yacht GPS160 TriNav Sensor is a marine GNSS receiver with an NMEA 0183 output. It sends position data to chart plotters, VHF radios, AIS units and other 0183 equipment. Baud rate is user selectable at 4800, 38400 or 115200 through internal DIP switches.

Digital Yacht's TriNav technology uses GPS, GLONASS and Galileo at the same time and combines all three for the best fix, typically under 1 meter of accuracy. The 72-channel receiver can also be set to run on a single system, such as Galileo only. An anti-spoofing algorithm helps it reject interference and hold a reliable position.

Update rate is selectable up to 18 Hz, and the DIP switches also set the NMEA sentence formats, including datum sentences used by professional ECDIS systems. An input for an external MOB switch generates a synthesized AIS MOB message on the output, which marks the position on a connected plotter.
