Description

The Digital Yacht LANLink NMEA 0183 to Ethernet Gateway takes the same approach as its NMEA 2000 sibling, folding a boat's instrument data into an already-installed wireless router network rather than leaving it stuck on a separate, isolated instrument bus.

This version handles NMEA 0183 specifically, useful for boats still running an older instrument setup rather than a full NMEA 2000 backbone. A browser-based configuration page lets any device set baud rates and IP/port settings without special software, and the gateway supports several simultaneous, bi-directional TCP/IP connections. Wired into the network with a standard CAT 5/6 patch cable, apps such as TZ iBoat, iNavX, NavLink, iSailor, Imray, and Weather 4D can pull live data by entering that same IP address and port.
