It is designed for boaters who want a transducer supplied with a thru-hull/ground sleeve for installation in the bottom of the vessel that can be easily pulled out for cleaning and maintenance.

Data from this Triducer displays on any radar, chart plotter, or device accepting NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 data. The Airmar-type DST810 sensor fits into the Airmar-type P617V breakthrough sleeve (included), and because the widely used Airmar DST800 thru-hull transducer also uses the P617V sleeve, upgrading existing DST800 transducers to DST810 is possible without much effort — a popular depth sensor for shallow water performance.
