Digital Yacht GPS160 TriNav Sensor, iKonvert Bundle

This bundle pairs the Digital Yacht GPS160 TriNav Sensor with an iKonvert interface for NMEA 2000 networks. The GPS160 outputs NMEA 0183, and iKonvert brings that position data onto the 2000 backbone. Digital Yacht notes this avoids the cumbersome drop cables some installations need.

Digital Yacht's TriNav technology uses GPS, GLONASS and Galileo at the same time and combines all three for the best fix, typically under 1 meter of accuracy. The 72-channel receiver can also be set to run on a single system, such as Galileo only. An anti-spoofing algorithm helps it reject interference and hold a reliable position.

Inside the GPS160, DIP switches set the sentence formats and an update rate of up to 18 Hz. An external MOB input generates a synthesized AIS MOB message that marks the position on compatible plotters.
