Digital Yacht GPS160F Furuno Format GPS Sensor

The Digital Yacht GPS160F is a version of the GPS160 that outputs the older data format used by legacy Furuno systems. It's a drop-in replacement for failed Furuno sensors such as the GP32, GPS310 and GPS320. Digital Yacht developed it together with Furuno UK.

Some of those older sensors were hit by GPS week rollover problems that left the plotter without a usable position. The GPS160F solves that without replacing the whole system. It has been tested with the original NavNet MFDs, NavNet VX2, the M1735 radar, the GP7000 and the FCV family of sounders.

Installation is a simple 4-wire connection to the existing Furuno equipment, and the sensor works straight out of the box. It comes with a 10 meter cable and a manual with Furuno-specific interfacing information.
