Description
The Condor El Salvador Machete has an 18-inch black traction coated 1075HC steel blade with a full tang at 23 inches overall, a brown wood handle, a lanyard hole and a black leather belt sheath.
Traction coating is a rough textured finish rather than a smooth one, and on a machete it does two jobs: it slows rust on carbon steel and it stops green sap building into a slick film on the blade. Condor builds in El Salvador, and this is the pattern local users buy, which is a better recommendation than most marketing.
1075HC is tough rather than hard, absorbing repeated impact without chipping and coming back with a file in the field. At 23 inches overall the blade has real speed at the tip, which is what severs green growth in a single pass. Explore more Machetes.
