Description

The Cobratec Stiletto has a 4-inch VG-10 stainless blade in a rose TiNi coating, a black G10 handle with stainless bolsters, an extended tang, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 5 inches on a button lock.

Rose TiNi is titanium nitride deposited with enough variation in the process to come out a warm copper pink rather than the usual gold or black. It is a hard ceramic layer, so the color is in the surface rather than painted on it. A button lock puts a spring-loaded plunger through the blade tang, so the knife opens and closes one-handed without reaching across the blade path.

VG-10 is a Japanese stainless prized for balancing edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance, a step above the steels usually fitted to stiletto-style folders.
