Description

The CJRB Kicker has a 3.5-inch stonewashed AR-RPM9 blade with a carbon fiber handle and a frame lock, opened by extended tang.

AR-RPM9 is Artisan's own powder steel, made by pressing steel powder rather than pouring an ingot. The finer, more uniform grain that results holds an edge better and sharpens more predictably than a conventionally made steel of the same recipe. Carbon fiber is woven cloth with resin, and it is the lightest handle material in common use, stiffer than G10 at a fraction of the weight, with a woven pattern that catches light as the knife moves.

The extended tang is a tab past the pivot pushed with the thumb, and the frame lock uses the handle slab itself as the lock, so lockup tightens under pressure. Explore more Framelock Knives.
