Description
The Blue Sea Systems A-Series ELCI main is a double-pole 30A breaker in white with a toggle actuator, tripping at 30 mA leakage with 5,000A interrupt capacity.
Toggle actuation is the only difference between this and the flat rocker version of the same breaker, and the choice depends on where the panel sits. A toggle stands proud of the panel with positive tactile feedback, so it is easy to find and throw in a hurry. A flat rocker sits flush and resists being knocked accidentally.
In a passageway or anywhere people brush past, the flush rocker is the safer choice. Where the panel needs to be operated fast in poor light, the toggle wins. Thirty amps double pole is the standard fit for 120V AC shore service on most boats.
It trips on short circuit, overload or leakage to ground at 30 mA, which is the ABYC E-11 threshold. The magnetic hydraulic trip-free design cannot be held closed on a fault. Maximum voltage is 240V AC or 120V AC per pole, it is ignition protected, and it runs from -35°C to 65°C. Explore more marine circuit breakers.
- Toggle stands proud and is easy to find fast
- The flat rocker version resists accidental knocks
- Choose by whether people brush past the panel
- 30 mA trip, 5,000A interrupt, trip free
