Description

The Blue Sea Systems 8100 is an ELCI main breaker panel with a single 30A double-pole residual current breaker, 3.75 inches wide by 5.25 tall.

At 3.75 inches wide this is the narrowest ELCI panel in the range, which is what gets it into spaces the others will not reach. On a boat where the run from the inlet passes through a tight locker, width is often the constraint that decides which panel can be fitted at all.

Leakage protection is the point. An ordinary breaker trips on overload and stays quiet while current leaks into the water through a fault. That is the condition that puts swimmers at risk around docks, and it is invisible to conventional protection. The ELCI opens the circuit at 30 mA.

It meets ABYC E-11 for whole-boat shore power protection when mounted within 10 feet of the inlet. A red reverse polarity LED flags bad dock wiring, all label positions are backlit and ON indicating LEDs are installed. Nominal voltage is 120V AC. Explore more marine electrical panels.

  • The narrowest ELCI panel at 3.75 inches wide
  • Width often decides what fits a tight locker
  • Ordinary breakers stay quiet while current leaks away
  • 30 mA trip, the fault that endangers swimmers
