Blue Sea 8379 DC Main +20 Position Circuit Breaker Panel

The Blue Sea Systems 8379 DC panel has a 100A main breaker plus 20 branch positions, fourteen filled with 15A breakers, and a built-in 8248 digital multimeter with alarm.

Twenty positions is where a boat ends up once the six-switch panel that came with the hull runs out, and this arrives mostly populated rather than empty. Fourteen 15A single-pole breakers are fitted alongside the 100A C-Series main, so most of a typical circuit list is covered without ordering breakers separately.

The 8248 multimeter is built into the face and reads up to three battery banks through a toggle switch, putting voltage and current on the panel rather than on a separate gauge wired in elsewhere. Every circuit has an ON indicator, so a tripped breaker shows itself instead of being found by working backwards from whatever stopped running.

Positive, negative and grounding buses are installed and the panel ships pre-wired, which makes the installation far less work than the size suggests. The body is 1/8 inch 5052 aluminum with a two-part polyurethane finish over MIL-C-5541C immersion undercoating, in industry standard dimensions with a cutout template, instructions and 30 large format labels.
