Blue Sea 4181 Momentary Push Button Switch - 15A

The Blue Sea Systems 4181 Backlit Momentary Push Button Switch gives Off-(On) action rated 15A at 12V DC, blue at rest and red when activated.

Momentary action means the circuit is live only while the button is held, then drops out as soon as it is released. That suits horns, relays, actuators and trim controls, where a maintained switch would leave the equipment running until somebody remembered it.

The color change from blue to red during activation gives clear feedback that the command is being sent. On a momentary control that confirmation is useful, since a relay operating out of sight gives no other indication that the button did anything.
