Description

The BEP Marine 710-140A Digital Voltage Sensing Relay lets you charge a second battery bank from any single charging source without diode isolators or voltage drop. It is designed for boaters who want start batteries protected and a second bank charged automatically off one alternator.

The DVSR engages once voltage on the charged bank rises enough to combine the banks, then automatically isolates them again as voltage falls, so your start battery always stays topped off. Digital circuitry keeps power consumption extremely low, and an optional ignition-switch connection adds zero standby draw when the engine is off. Browse more options in our panels, switches, and circuit breakers category.

Key Features

  • Charges two or more banks from one source with no volt drop
  • digital circuitry for low power consumption
  • optional remote ignition sensing for zero standby draw
  • simple 3-wire install

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this cause any voltage drop like a diode isolator? No, it combines banks without the voltage drop you'd get from a diode isolator.

Does this work on both 12V and 24V systems? Yes, it automatically selects between 12V and 24V operation.

How many wires does installation require? It's a simple 3-wire connection that leaves your alternator wiring intact.

Specifications

Device Type:
Voltage Sensing Relay
Nominal Voltage:
12/24V, Auto-Selecting
