BEP Marine 24-Hour Essential Circuits Module

The BEP Marine 24-Hour Essential Circuits Module holds one 5A and three 15A Carling CLB push-to-reset breakers in a Contour Lock double module.

Push-to-reset rather than a toggle is the deliberate design here. There is no switch position to knock off, so an essential circuit cannot be disabled while someone works along the panel. That protects the circuits that must not go off: bilge pump float switches, alarms and stereo memory feeds.

A bilge pump wired through an ordinary panel switch is one absent-minded moment from being off when it matters, which is exactly what this arrangement prevents. The breakers still trip on overload and reset once the fault is found, so protection is not given up for the sake of tamper resistance.
