Description

The Artisan Sea Snake has a 3.13-inch satin AR-RPM9 stainless wharncliffe blade with a full tang at 6.75 inches overall, a black G10 handle, a cord lanyard and a black Kydex neck sheath.

A wharncliffe runs the spine straight to a point that meets a dead-straight edge, so the whole edge stays in contact with material and the tip goes exactly where it is put. It is precise for detail work and poor at anything needing a curved belly. AR-RPM9 is Artisan's powder steel, pressed from steel powder rather than cast, which gives a finer and more even grain and sharpens predictably.

A neck knife has to be light enough to forget and held firmly enough that bending over does not drop it, which is what the Kydex sheath handles with a positive snap rather than friction.
