The Viega MegaPress 316 2-Inch FKM Coupling with Stop joins two lengths of 2 inch pipe, with an internal stop that sets how far each pipe enters.
The stop is what makes this the coupling for new work. Push each pipe in until it seats and the joint is correctly positioned without measuring. For repairs in a fixed run, where the fitting has to slide clear of a cut, the slip coupling without a stop is the one you need instead.
It is a press connection, made with a pressing tool rather than threading or brazing, so there is no open flame and no cutting threads in place. Suits Schedule 5 through Schedule 40 stainless pipe. Sealing is by FKM elements with grip rings and separator rings. Look through the rest of our marine pipe fittings.
