The Viega MegaPress 316 2-Inch FKM Slip Coupling No Stop joins two lengths of 2 inch pipe, and without an internal stop it can slide fully onto one length before being pulled back across the joint.
That is what makes it a repair fitting. With a standard coupling you cannot get the fitting over a cut in a fixed run, because the internal stop halts it halfway. A slip coupling slides clear, then comes back to bridge the gap once the second pipe is in place.
It is a press connection, made with a pressing tool rather than threading or brazing, so there is no open flame and no cutting threads in place. Suits Schedule 5 through Schedule 40 stainless pipe. Sealing is by FKM elements with grip rings and separator rings. Browse more marine pipe fittings.
