The Viega MegaPress 316 1-Inch FKM FPT Stainless Adapter presses onto 1 inch pipe and terminates in a 1 inch female pipe thread.

Female thread is the opposite arrangement to the MPT version: something screws into this fitting rather than this fitting screwing into something. Which you need depends on the thread already on the equipment you are joining to. It is a press connection, made with a pressing tool rather than threading or brazing, so there is no open flame and no cutting threads in place. Suits Schedule 5 through Schedule 40 stainless pipe.
