The Viega MegaPress 316 1.25-Inch FKM 90-Degree Street Elbow provides the larger pipe size of the two 90-degree fittings in this report. One end presses to the stainless line while the street end can seat directly into another fitting. This arrangement creates a right-angle change with fewer connection pieces than using two standard fittings and a short pipe section.

For a run that has to turn tightly, the 90-degree geometry concentrates the direction change into a compact area. MegaPress technology makes that transition with a press tool instead of threaded fabrication, welding or brazing. The no-flame process is especially useful where marine installations make hot-work control important.

The connection uses a grip ring, separator ring and FKM sealing element inside the press end. It works with Schedule 5 through Schedule 40 stainless pipe, and the 316 stainless body is selected for stronger corrosion resistance in salt air and salt water.
