Viega MegaPress 316 1.25-Inch FKM 45-Degree Street Elbow

The Viega MegaPress 316 1.25-Inch FKM 45-Degree Street Elbow changes direction without the abrupt turn of a 90-degree fitting. The street end has pipe outside diameter, allowing it to fit directly into another compatible fitting. That can shorten an offset assembly by eliminating a separate piece of pipe between two fittings.

A 45-degree elbow is useful when the route has enough room for a more gradual bend and preserving a smoother flow path is preferable to a tight corner. MegaPress joins the stainless line with a press tool and jaws, so the installer does not need to thread the pipe or introduce welding and brazing heat. Proper preparation is limited to square cutting, deburring and marking insertion depth before the press.

The press end contains the mechanical grip ring, separator ring and FKM sealing element used by the MegaPress system. Compatibility covers Schedule 5 through Schedule 40 stainless steel pipe, while the 316 stainless body improves resistance to marine corrosion and pitting.
