This is the largest controller Victron makes in this family: the highest PV input voltage at 250V paired with the highest output at 100A. That combination suits an array big enough that cable size becomes a real cost. Higher PV voltage means lower current for the same power, so the run from panels to controller uses considerably less copper.
TR screw terminals accept heavy cable directly on both the PV and battery sides, which a 100 amp battery circuit requires. VE.Can allows several controllers to synchronize their charging stages across an installation too large for one unit.
Ultra-fast tracking follows the array's operating point as sunlight changes, and the controller can restart a severely depleted battery where the cells are still serviceable.
