The Victron Blue Smart IP67 is a 12V 7A sealed charger in a cast-aluminum housing with resin-encapsulated electronics.

Seven amps in a fully sealed housing is an unusual combination, and it exists for a specific case: a small bank in a thoroughly hostile location. A tender battery, a windlass battery in a chain locker or a generator starting battery all sit somewhere wet, and a plastic dry-mount charger there fails within a season.

Thermal protection reduces output as temperature rises rather than shutting the charger down. That distinction matters in an engine space. A charger that trips off on heat leaves the battery uncharged; one that derates keeps working at a lower rate.

The adaptive five-stage process runs bulk, absorption, recondition, float and storage, optimizing to battery condition.
