The Victron Blue Smart IP22 is a 12V 20A three-bank charger with built-in Bluetooth, using a six-stage adaptive algorithm, for dry mounting.

Three outputs from a 20A charger means the current is shared, so this suits maintaining several banks rather than recovering all three at once. For a boat where the batteries are topped up between outings, that is the right arrangement. A deeply drawn-down set of three banks wants more capacity than 20 amps divided three ways.

The adaptive algorithm shortens absorption after a shallow discharge rather than running a fixed cycle, so a battery barely used is not held at charging voltage unnecessarily. Storage mode lowers float voltage after long idle periods to reduce gassing and corrosion, then raises it periodically to limit sulfation and electrolyte stratification.

Both lead-acid and lithium-ion are supported with the correct mode selected, and charging can start from extremely low battery voltage.
