The Victron Blue Smart IP22 is a 24V 16A single-bank charger with built-in Bluetooth and up to 94 percent efficiency, for dry mounting.

Ninety-four percent efficiency is worth more than it sounds. The six percent lost becomes heat, and a less efficient charger of the same output runs hotter and draws more from a limited shore supply. Standby consumption also falls substantially once the battery is charged, which matters on a charger left connected all season.

The six-stage adaptive sequence runs test, bulk, absorption, recondition, float and storage, shortening absorption after a shallow discharge while allowing fuller recovery after a deep one. Storage mode lowers float voltage once the battery has sat unused, limiting gassing and positive-plate corrosion, then raises it periodically to reduce stratification and sulfation.

Lithium-ion is supported with the appropriate mode selected, and a recovery function starts charging a fully discharged battery that other chargers would refuse.
