VDO Reed Switch 600MM Tank Depth Fuel Sender

The VDO 600mm Reed Switch Fuel Sender is intended for a relatively deep fuel tank requiring a 600mm vertical sending unit. Its long, slim profile measures down into the tank without the lateral travel required by a hinged float arm. A clear path below the mounting opening is important when installing a sender of this length.

The sensing tube moderates fuel movement around the measuring section as the boat rocks or accelerates. Compared with an arm-and-resistance-card sender, the reed-switch arrangement does not rely on a conventional swinging arm or sliding contact. This makes the construction especially useful where an internal float arm would be difficult to position.

The 600mm sender uses stainless steel construction with an ethanol-resistant Viton seal. A standard SAE five-hole top mount is provided, and the package includes a neoprene gasket and mounting hardware. Confirm usable tank depth, internal clearance and the matching fuel-gauge requirements before replacing an existing unit.
