Uflex SilverSteer UC128TS V1 Straight Link Cylinder

The Uflex SilverSteer UC128TS V1 is a front-mount outboard steering cylinder with a straight link arm, built for high-torque fishing boats. Uflex recommends the SilverSteer line for bass boats, flats boats, and tournament rigs that run fast and turn hard. The rod, seals, and link assemblies are heavy-duty stainless steel, and the triple-sealed end cartridges can be replaced at low cost instead of replacing the whole cylinder.

It works with competing helms, hoses, and oil, and it directly replaces the earlier UC128-SVS 1. Version 1 has the straight link arm, while the V3 is the angled offset version for engines that need it. Uflex does not recommend it above 69 mph (60 knots) on single-engine boats, or for racing. SilverSteer cylinders handle the higher steering loads of a fast boat turning hard, where a standard cylinder can feel heavy or flex.

Check the Uflex application guide for your outboard before ordering. After installation, bleed the system thoroughly, since trapped air makes steering feel spongy and can let the wheel drift. Keep a spare bleed kit aboard, and compare it with our other hydraulic steering systems.
