Spyderco Endura 4 Black FRN Combo 3.8 Inch Knife

The Spyderco Endura 4 Black FRN Combo (C10PSBK) is the full-size member of Spyderco's Japanese-made lockback family, with a 3.8-inch VG-10 blade and a partially serrated edge. It opens to about 8.75 inches yet weighs only around 3 ounces, which is light for a knife with this much reach. The leaf-shaped blade has a full flat grind, so it slices thinner material cleanly and with little effort.

The rear third or so of the edge carries Spyderco's SpyderEdge serrations, which handle rope, nylon webbing, and seat belt material. The front portion stays plain for push cuts, whittling, and fine work at the tip. VG-10 is a cobalt-bearing stainless steel from Japan that holds a good edge and resists rust in humid or salty air.

Black FRN covers the handle with Spyderco's bi-directional texture, and skeletonized stainless liners inside give it stiffness. A four-position clip allows tip-up or tip-down carry on either side, and the back lock releases with a press on the spine. Built in Seki, Japan, the Endura has been a mainstay of Spyderco's lineup for decades. Clean pocket lint out of the serrations now and then with a soft brush.
