Springfield 15 Inch Fixed-Height Boat Pedestal

The Springfield 15 Inch Fixed-Height Boat Pedestal holds a seat at a fixed 15 inches. It accepts a 2-7/8-inch Trac-Lock seat mount, so most Springfield swivels, slides, and seat plates bolt straight on top. The base is high-magnesium aluminum, a strong, corrosion-resistant alloy for an exposed deck.

Fifteen inches puts most seats at a comfortable height for driving a center console or bay boat while sitting. With no cylinder or adjusting collar, there is nothing to slip or wear out, which suits boats that stay in the water or sit in storage. You can add Springfield swivels and slides on top for fore-and-aft adjustment. Fixed pedestals are also a common replacement when an older adjustable post has worn out, since they restore a solid seat at a known height.

Bolt it through solid deck structure and check the fasteners at the start of each season. Rinse it with fresh water after saltwater trips to keep the finish looking good. For a lower seat, the 12-inch version is in our seats, pedestals & slides. Seal each bolt hole with marine sealant so water does not wick into the deck core.
