Sea Brackets 18in Straight Plate for Garmin Kraken

The Power Systems Sea Brackets 18-Inch Straight Plate for Garmin Kraken is machined from 1/2-inch 6061-T6 aluminum for the Garmin Quick Release Plate System.

Eighteen inches sits between the 16 and 20-inch plates, and the length is chosen by measuring the deck rather than by preference. The plate has to reach past whatever the obstruction is while still landing on solid structure at both ends. Too short and it does not clear; too long and it runs into a hatch or a locker lid.

Straight rather than offset means the adjustment is fore and aft, which suits a bow where a pulpit or anchor roller sits in the way. It also spreads the mounting load across more deck than a compact plate, which reduces stress at any one fastener when the motor deploys.

It is cut for Garmin's Quick Release Plate System and Force Kraken motors, so the hole pattern will not suit Rhodan or Minn Kota brackets. Primed, powder coated and UV protected, with clean gauged holes, port or starboard installation, and 316L stainless hardware plus backing support recommended.
