The Schrade Old Timer Deerslayer has a 5.75-inch satin stainless blade with a full tang at 10.38 inches overall, a brown sawcut synthetic handle, an inlay shield and a brown leather belt sheath.

At 5.75 inches the blade is longer than most hunting knives, which puts it past field dressing and into camp and butchery work where reach matters. Sawcut synthetic is textured with fine parallel grooves that copy the look of sawcut bone while resisting the blood, moisture and mess field dressing involves.
