The Schrade Old Timer Hawkbill Pruner has a 3-inch stainless hawkbill blade with dual thumb studs, brown sawcut Delrin handles, nickel silver bolsters and an Old Timer inlay shield, closing to 4 inches.

A hawkbill curves sharply downward toward the point and cuts on the pull. Drawing it through a branch or a length of cord traps the material in the curve where the edge bites, instead of letting it slide off the way a straight blade does. That is why the shape belongs to pruning, and why gardeners, electricians and sailors have used it for generations.

Dual thumb studs mean the blade opens one-handed from either side, useful up a ladder or with the other hand holding a branch. Sawcut Delrin is textured with fine parallel grooves that copy the look of sawcut bone while resisting sap, water and dirt. Explore more Work and Utility Linerlocks.
