Description

The Schrade Old Timer Guthook Skinner has a 3.5-inch stainless guthook blade with a full tang at 7.25 inches overall, brown sawcut Delrin handles with an Old Timer inlay shield, and a brown leather belt sheath.

The guthook is the hooked notch ground into the spine near the tip. Hooking it under the hide and pulling opens an animal along a line without the point ever reaching the organs underneath, which is what ruins meat when a plain blade slips. The rest of the blade is a skinner, with a broad curved belly that rides along hide through a stroke.

Sawcut Delrin is textured with fine parallel grooves that copy the look of sawcut bone while resisting moisture and the mess of field dressing. Full tang construction runs the steel the whole length of the handle, so there is no joint to loosen or trap blood. Explore more Hunting Knives.
