The Schrade Old Timer Copperhead has a 3.5-inch gray TiNi coated 7Cr17MoV stainless guthook blade with a full tang at 8 inches overall, a black textured rubber handle and a black nylon belt sheath.

The guthook is a hooked notch ground into the spine near the tip. Hooking it under the hide and pulling opens an animal along a line without the point ever reaching the organs underneath, which is what ruins meat when a plain blade slips. TiNi is titanium nitride, a hard ceramic coating that adds surface hardness and cuts glare rather than simply coloring the blade.
