Samlex 600W 12V Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter

The Samlex PST 600W 12V is a pure sine wave inverter with a NEMA 5-20R GFCI duplex outlet and 1000W surge capability.

The NEMA 5-20R outlet is worth noting because it differs from the more common 5-15R found on most inverters. A 5-20R accepts both standard 15A plugs and 20A plugs with the sideways blade, so equipment with a 20A plug connects without an adapter. The reverse is not true.

Low idle draw preserves battery capacity when the inverter is energized but lightly loaded, which is most of the time on a boat. The temperature-controlled cooling fan runs only as needed, reducing noise and energy consumption alongside it.
