Samlex 15A 12V 3-Bank 3-Stage Battery Charger

The Samlex 12V charger is a 15A three-bank three-stage unit, UL-1564 listed.

Fifteen amps in a compact housing is the trade this model makes. It is the smallest three-bank Samlex, suiting installations where space is tighter than the charging demand. For a boat, an RV or a communications cabinet where the banks are maintained rather than deeply cycled, the extra output of the 30A version is capacity that never gets used.

The algorithm switches between two-stage and three-stage to match how the batteries are used: three-stage for stand-alone recovery, two-stage where a DC load stays connected. Three banks charge simultaneously without a separate isolator, which removes a component and a set of connections from the installation.

It can also serve as a regulated power supply or form part of a DC UPS, so one unit covers charging and supply duties.
