The Samlex 12V charger is a 30A three-bank three-stage unit, UL-1564 listed.

Thirty amps is the highest output in the Samlex three-bank range, which makes this the one to choose where banks are actually run down rather than just maintained. The 15A version covers topping up; 30A returns a working bank overnight, and matching that to how the boat is used matters more than the price difference.

Three banks charge at once without a separate isolator, and the program selects between three-stage for normal recovery and two-stage where batteries remain on an active DC load. The unit doubles as a regulated DC power supply or part of a DC UPS configuration when required.

A front-panel voltmeter, ammeter and LED status give a direct read on charger performance without external meters. Samlex's Universal Protection Circuit covers short circuit, overload and reverse polarity, and the charger is UL 1564 listed with FCC Part 15(B) Class B compliance.
