Samlex 100W Isolated DC-DC Converter, 30-60V Input

The Samlex IDC-100C-12 is a fully isolated 100W DC-DC converter giving regulated 12.5V from a 30-60V input, at up to 8 amps.

The 30 to 60 volt input is what makes this the 48V-class converter, against the 20-35V IDC-100B. A 48V lithium bank sits well above nominal when charged and below it when drawn down, and only the wider window covers that span without dropping out.

Full isolation separates the source and load circuits, which matters more at 48V than at lower voltages. A high-voltage bank sharing a ground with 12V electronics is a poor arrangement, and isolation contains a fault to the side it started on.
