The Quick Anchor Rode is 15 ft of 7mm chain spliced to 300 ft of 1/2 inch rope, ready to use.

Three hundred feet of rope is the long option in this range, and rope length is what sets the depth you can anchor in. The usual working figure is five to seven times the water depth, so 300 ft covers anchorages that 200 ft does not. The trade is stowage. A longer rode fills more of the locker and takes longer to recover.
