Quick Anchor Rode 7mm Chain with 200' 1/2" Rope

The Quick Anchor Rode is 15 ft of 7mm chain spliced to 200 ft of 1/2 inch rope, ready to use.

Two hundred feet is the shorter of the two 7mm rodes Quick builds, and for most coastal anchoring it is enough. At a five-to-one scope it covers roughly 40 ft of water once freeboard is allowed for. It also stows in a smaller locker and recovers faster, which is the practical argument against carrying more rope than the ground you actually anchor on.

Quick's splice where rope meets chain is cut slimmer and more tapered than a conventional one, so it passes through a windlass gypsy without jamming.
