Winterbottom is a specific jigging pattern, a deep irregular bark-like texture named for the Winterbottom Ranch that supplied bone to American cutlers, and it is the most sought-after jigging among collectors of traditional knives. In amber it is the classic combination, and it is the reason this knife sells to collectors rather than working buyers.

    This is pretty good knife. Maybe not the best looking that I own but seems to be pretty well made. I thing about it that I really like is that it came razor sharp. Case could take some lessons here.
