Description

The Roper Green Bone Stockman has satin 1065 carbon steel clip, sheepsfoot and spey blades in a green jigged bone handle with stainless bolsters and an inlay shield, closing to 3.5 inches.

Three blades divide the work: the clip for general cutting, the sheepsfoot's straight edge and blunt spine for controlled push cuts against a surface, and the spey's flat edge and rounded tip for scraping without a point to puncture. 1065 carbon steel takes a keener edge than stainless and comes back faster on a stone, developing a patina with use that slows further rust once established.

Green is an uncommon color against the ambers and browns that fill most traditional trays, and jigging gives the bone grip where a smooth surface turns slick. Each blade opens on a nail nick, held by a slip joint where spring tension does the work rather than a locking bar. Explore more Stockman Knives.
