Description

The QSP Penguin has a 3-inch black finish 14C28N Sandvik stainless sheepsfoot blade, an OD green FRN handle, a thumb stud, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 4 inches on the Glyde Lock.

The Glyde Lock is QSP's crossbar mechanism, a spring-loaded bar released from either side, so the knife works the same in either hand and closes without fingers crossing the blade path. A sheepsfoot has a straight edge with the spine curving down to meet it and almost no point, so it cuts safely against a surface without stabbing through what lies underneath.

FRN keeps the weight down noticeably against the steel and micarta versions of the Penguin, which is the difference between a knife you notice in a pocket and one you do not. 14C28N resists corrosion and sharpens back easily, a rarer balance in one steel than it sounds.
