Performance Metals Yamaha 200-300HP Trim Tab Anode

The Performance Metals Yamaha Trim Tab Anode fits a long list of Yamaha outboards. That includes the 250 hp from 1990 on, 225 hp from 1994 on, VMAX 200 to 225 from 1998 to 2001, 4-stroke 200 and 225 hp from 2002, 4-stroke 250 hp from 2005 and 4-stroke 300 hp from 2006 and later. It replaces Yamaha 61A-45371-00.

Performance Metals makes its Navalloy aluminum anodes to military specification MIL-DTL-24779, and they work in salt, brackish and fresh water. An anode is a sacrificial metal that corrodes in place of your drive, propeller and other underwater metal. Aluminum anodes protect in salt, brackish and fresh water, and they deliver more protection per pound than zinc.

Mounting hardware and installation instructions are included. Replace anodes when they're about half consumed, and never paint them, because paint stops them from working. Other kits and individual anodes are in our marine anodes section.
