The Newmar SS Switch 3 is a 30A AC source selector with two source positions plus Off, marked SHIP-OFF-SHORE.

Thirty amps is the smaller selector against the 63A SS Switch 7.5, and it matches a typical recreational shore service. Most boats under about 40 feet are wired for 30A, so this is the size that fits without paying for capacity the inlet cannot deliver.

Isolating the incoming sources prevents two AC supplies being connected together. That protects equipment and anyone working on the dock supply, and a mechanical switch achieves it physically rather than relying on anything electronic.
