Newmar SS Switch 7.5 AC Source Selector Switch

The Newmar SS Switch 7.5 is a 63A AC source selector with two source positions plus Off, marked SHIP-OFF-SHORE.

Two sources rather than three is the difference from the 7.5 INV version, which adds an inverter position. This covers a boat with shore power and a generator. Adding an inverter later means changing the switch rather than adding to it, so the choice is worth making with the eventual system in mind.

Mechanical isolation prevents both inputs being connected at once. Back-feeding a generator from shore power damages equipment and endangers anyone working on the dock supply, and a mechanical selector makes that physically impossible rather than merely unlikely.
