Description

The Newmar PC-25 Power Conditioner is a 25A DC noise filter for 6-48V systems, filtering interference through around 200MHz.

Two hundred megahertz is the specification that matters, since it covers the marine VHF band and most of what sits below it. Interference from a switching converter, an LED driver or a pump motor lands squarely in that range, and a radio hears it as a hiss that comes and goes with whatever is running.

It installs in both the positive and negative leads near the equipment being protected. Filtering at the equipment rather than at the source is the practical approach when the noisy device is unknown or cannot be changed.

Six to 48 volts covers 12V, 24V and 48V systems from one part. Twenty-five amps is a substantial rating, enough for a radio installation or a group of sensitive equipment rather than a single instrument. Explore more DC-DC converters and power supplies.

  • Filters through 200MHz, covering the VHF band
  • Converters, LED drivers and pumps land in that range
  • Fit it at the equipment, not the source
  • Useful when the noisy device is unknown
