Description

The Newmar NP-24 Nav-Pac is a 24V power conditioner with a 5Ah internal sealed battery, supporting up to 15A output.

The internal battery is what makes this more than a filter: it holds equipment up through a source interruption. A GPS or a programmable transceiver losing power for a second reboots and loses its settings or its fix. The battery bridges that gap so nothing notices.

Heavy transient loads are the other case, where cranking or a large motor start drags the supply down briefly. Sensitive electronics see that as a power failure even though the batteries are fine, and the Nav-Pac absorbs it.

Fifteen amps at 24V covers a set of navigation and communication equipment rather than a whole boat. The 12V NP-12 is the equivalent for a 12V system, and system voltage decides which is correct. Explore more DC-DC converters and power supplies.

  • The internal battery bridges a source interruption
  • A GPS losing power for a second loses its fix
  • It also absorbs cranking and motor-start transients
  • 15A at 24V: the NP-12 covers 12V systems
