Description

The Morakniv Floating Knife has a 3.75-inch mirror finish serrated stainless blunt tip blade at 8.88 inches overall, a cork handle and an orange synthetic belt sheath. Made in Sweden.

The cork handle is what makes this float. Drop it over the side and it stays on the surface rather than going to the bottom, which is the entire reason the knife exists. The blunt tip is the other half of that thinking. On a boat, around inflatables and lines under tension, a point is a hazard, so it is rounded off.

Serrations saw through wet rope and webbing where a plain edge slides off, and stainless resists the salt a boat knife lives in. The orange sheath continues the same logic, staying visible against a deck or in water. Explore more Knives and Tools.
