The Morakniv Basic 546 has a 3.5-inch satin stainless clip point blade at 8 inches overall, a polymer handle in Dala red and blue and a blue polymer belt sheath. Made in Sweden.

The Dala colors refer to the painted wooden horses of Dalarna, a Swedish folk craft, and the red and blue here is a direct nod rather than a random colorway. The Basic is Morakniv's plainest working knife, sold for decades to Swedish tradespeople on the argument that a knife needs a good blade, a comfortable handle and nothing else.
