Marinco P30-504 EEL Shore Power Pigtail Adapter

The Marinco P30-504 EEL Pigtail Adapter connects a boat wired for 50A 125/250V shore power to a 30A 125V dockside receptacle.

Stepping down like this changes the connector but not the supply. The boat still only gets 30 amps at 125V however large its inlet is. That means air conditioning, water heaters and battery chargers running together will trip the pedestal breaker, and loads have to be managed rather than assumed.

This runs the opposite direction to the P504-503, which puts a 50A 125V boat side onto a 50A 125/250V dock side, so the two are not interchangeable despite similar names. Matching both the vessel inlet and the pedestal receptacle exactly is what decides which one is needed.
